Three Iowa girls were found safe after they were abducted Tuesday, according to the Clay County Sheriff's Office.

No arrest has been made, according to the sheriff's office. Police are still searching for their mother — the alleged abductor — after the girls were found abandoned in the small O'Brien County town of Sanborn.

An Amber Alert was issued for the three children, who were reportedly abducted around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday in northwest Iowa.

Law enforcement officials believe the Spencer girls were taken by their biological mother, according to the sheriff's office. They had previously been removed from her custody and placed in the care of another relative.

Police are searching for Danica Noel Arzaga, 25 after she allegedly abducted her three daughters from Royal. She is 5 feet 6 inches with black hair and brown eyes, and weighs 135 pounds.

They were abducted from the 4000 block of 180th Avenue in Royal, a town of roughly 450 people.

The alleged abductor is 25-year-old Danica Noel Arzaga. She is 5 feet, 6 inches tall with black hair, brown eyes and weighs 135 pounds, according to the state's Amber Alert website. She has a large eagle tattoo on her chest and has purple highlights in her hair. Arzaga may also be wearing a nose ring.

There was a delay in some Iowans receiving an Amber Alert on their phones following a technical issue with the state's system. Some people did not receive it until three hours after it was issued.
