Ankeny's new Taco Hangover offers Mexican street tacos

A third Taco Hangover restaurant and bar has opened in the metro. The newest location is in the hip Prairie Trail development in Ankeny.

The restaurant offers Mexican street tacos, margaritas and other Mexican-inspired dishes.

The restaurant, at 1631 S.W. Main St., sits across the street from District 36 restaurant, seats about 200 inside and another 50 on the patio, said general manager Tena Black.

Riley Drive Entertainment of Lenexa, Kansas, which also owns Saints Pub + Patio, Tonic and Beaver Tap and RDQ Smokehouse in the Des Moines area, owns the Taco Hangover restaurants in the Urban Town Center at 86th Street and Douglas Avenue in Urbandale and one at 50th and E.P. True Parkway in West Des Moines.

Kitchen hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The bar is open later.
