A Des Moines woman was hit and injured by a car around the 3000 block of Woodland Avenue, after she reminded the male suspect to wash the dishes, according to a Des Moines Police report.

A witness said he saw the suspect leave the house and the victim followed after him. The victim kept asking the suspect why he was upset while standing in the driveway. The suspect suddenly entered his car and accelerated the vehicle towards the woman and hit her, causing her to fly into the air. The witness said the suspect did not even stop to check on the well-being of the woman, and instead, fled the scene.

When officers visited the hospital to speak with the victim, they noticed she was in fairly good condition. The victim said the man was upset because she reminded him it was his turn to help with dishes. She said when she followed the suspect outside, she attempted to calm him down and then he hit her with his vehicle.

A warrant is requested for the arrest of the suspect.
