The Bachelor gives a little Iowa caucus love to Christie

Instead of all this endless campaigning and caucusing, wouldn't be easier to just hand the next leader of the free world a rose?

His Royal Bachelor Highness Prince Farming, otherwise known as Chris Soules of Arlington, has decided to give a little love to presidential candidate Chris Christie, the governor of New Jersey.

Members of ABC's "The Bachelor" royal family, like the monarchs from which the American colonies broke free in 1776, tend to refrain from the grubby affair of electoral politics. But Soules is a farmer. He is used to getting his hands dirty.

It's unclear how much weight his endorsement will carry, but the Register's final Iowa Poll before Monday's caucuses will hit print on Sunday.
