Rick Perry to join Cruz in Iowa
One of U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz's former 2016 rivals will join him on the Iowa campaign trail later this week.
The Cruz campaign announced that former Texas Gov. Rick Perry endorsed Cruz and will join him at events Tuesday and Wednesday.
Also Cruz's campaign, which already scheduled a slate of events throughout the week, has added more stops to the Texas Republican's schedule.
The new stops include a pro-life rally in Des Moines Wednesday.
Here are the new or updated stops on Cruz's schedule:
Tuesday
Osceola: 9:40 a.m., stop with Perry, High Point Bulls Oswald Barn, 1071 Harken Hills Dr.
Albia: 11:45 a.m., stop with Perry, Bogie’s Steakhouse, 1425 N. Clinton St.
Centerville: 1:15 p.m., stop with Perry, Lucille’s Steaks and Spirits, 217 N. 13th St.
Bloomfield: 3 p.m., stop with Perry, Davis County Historical Society Complex, 201 S. Dodge St.
Ottumwa: 4:30 p.m., town hall, Bridge View Center with Perry, 102 Church St.
Fairfield: 6:45 p.m., stop with Perry, Fairfield Arts & Convention Center, 200 N. Main St.
Keosauqua: 8:45 p.m., stop with Perry, Archie’s Event Center, 202 Cass St.
Wednesday
