A 47-year-old man on the Iowa sex offender registry reportedly used gaming app Words With Friends to entice a 12-year-old girl into sending nude photos of herself, according to a police report.

Luther Gerald St. Clair of Des Moines was arrested this week after the victim's mother found multiple texts from him on her daughter's cellphone, according to a police report. Her daughter reportedly met St. Clair through a random game on the app in November; he then asked for her cellphone number and the two began texting.

The officer noted in the report that there were too many texts to read, but St. Clair had apparently told the girl he wanted to "kiss her all over" and "buy her Christmas presents."

The 12-year-old told police that she quickly found out St. Clair was 47-years-old but she continued to text him anyway, sending several nude pictures of herself at his request. But the girl deleted several of them that occurred before Dec. 24, 2014, police noted.

She only met with the man once in person while taking her dog for a walk, the girl told police; the two made no physical contact, though it was discussed in the text messages.

One of the girl's family members searched for St. Clair's phone number online and found it linked to his profile on the state sex offender registry. His registry photo matched that of a picture St. Clair sent to her daughter, the report stated.

St. Clair was convicted of two counts of third-degree sexual abuse in September of 1990 for acts involving a girl, according to the registry.

The daughter tried to hide the texts from her mother by labeling his phone number with another female's name. St. Clair went by the name "Luther S" on his Words With Friends profile. Police noted his profile photo also matched the one on the sex offender registry.

Detectives confiscated the daughter's cell phone and arrested St. Clair on Monday, charging him with enticing away a child. He's being held at the Polk County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
